Cooking Jpeg
Im Rahmen einer Semesterarbeit realisierten wir das Stop-Motion-Projekt mit dem Namen Cooking Jpeg. Unsere Projektgruppe bestand aus zwei meiner Studienkolleginnen (Manuela Reiter und Christa Lehner) und mir.
Wir stellen die einzelnen Schritte der JPEG-Kompression bildhaft als surrealen, magischen Vorgang dar. Das Bild (Foto) wird als Summe von farbigen Kugeln aus Plastilin dargestellt. Bei der Farbraumumrechnung als 3 Kugeln (R, G, B) – später als viele kleine Kugeln (Bsp.: quantisieren). Die einzelnen Vorgänge werden mit Hilfe von Haushaltsgeräten durchgeführt und somit abstrahiert dargestellt. Bsp.: Rasterung in das 8 x 8 Pixel Basismuster (Teil der DCT) wird durch quetschen der Plastilinkugeln in einem Waffeleisen dargestellt.
Technische Umsetzung erfolgt mit fotografischen Mitteln. Die Einzelbilder werden als Video abgespielt und mit Soundeffekten und Hintergrundmusik versehen.
